Queens Jubilee Celebrations in school.

 

On Friday 27th May 2022 we had our Jubilee celebration in school. It really was an amazing day and was enjoyed by all. We had our street party, we sang the national anthem, Early years and KS1 had learnt Makaton signs to go with the National Anthem, Year 5 and Year 6 played it on their ukulele. Children all produced portraits of the Queen from a different decade and then at the end of the day we had a visit from the Queens Deputy Lieutenant. We all gathered in the hall for a special assembly where he have out the prizes to the winners of the plate competition.

Foodbank

Just a little reminder that Food Bank vouchers are available from school to use at Holy Trinity Church. The Food Bank is open on Tuesday and Friday from 12.00-14.00. Please contact Mrs Hadden for more details.

 

READING VOLUNTEERS WANTED

Do you have any spare time? Would you like to become more involved with our school community? We are looking for volunteers who can help hear our children read. If this is something you are interested in please collect a volunteer application form from the office. All volunteers will need to complete an application form, have a DBS check before they can start. Once you have been cleared as a volunteer full training will be given to you on how to listen to children read and how you can help them make progress.

 

Nursery Places Available

Do you have a child or know a child who was born between 01/09/2018 and 31/08/2019? Annie Lennard Primary school nursery have places available for September 2022. Please contact the school office to reserve your place on 0121 429 4284.

 

Baby News

We have 2 very special announcements to make, Mrs Williams will be finishing on Friday 24th June to go on maternity leave as her baby is due in July. Congratulations Mrs Williams. Miss Kealey is also expecting a little bundle of joy in October, Congratulations Miss Kealey.

Forms

Over the coming weeks a number of forms will sent home for you to complete and return to school. Please ensure you return the forms as quickly as possible please.

 

Phone Numbers

Please can you make sure you notify the office if you change your phone number, we have had a number of instances recently where we have needed to get hold of parents and phone numbers are not working. All pupils must have at least 2 contact numbers on their records.
