SCHOOL CLOSURE UPDATE 24TH JANUARY 2019

24th Jan 2019

School Closure update

Firstly, can I thank you all for your well wishes, support and understanding during this unfortunate incident. The water has caused considerable damage and has left 4 classrooms out of action.

Yesterday I managed to secure 4 classrooms at other schools so we can relocate the pupils as a temporary measure so no more teaching time is lost. We have a team onsite who are working hard to get the rooms dried and repaired as quickly as possible. All children will be able to go a school on Monday.

On Monday Nursery, Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 can come to school as normal at 8.45 and be collected at 3.10

Year 4 will be relocating to Moat Farm Juniors

Year 5 will be relocating to Bristnall Hall Academy

Year 6 will be relocating to Lightwoods Primary (Castle Road Site)

I will send out message to each year group that is moving with more instructions that are specific to that year group. Please be assured that if you are going to another school your child will be taught by their usual teacher.

I will also put all information on the website.

Thanks again for your support and understanding.

Year 6

Year 6 will be going to Lightwoods. The LA are supplying coaches to pick up children from Annie Lennard at 9am and they will then pick them up at 2.45 from Lightwoods and return them back to Annie Lennard’s. This means year 6 pupils can be dropped off and collected from school at normal time. If your child would normally have school meals, we have arranged for sandwiches to be delivered each day to Lightwoods.

Year 5

Year 5 will be using a mobile classroom at Bristnall Hall Academy. Please can you drop your child at 9am at the bottom set of gates where Mr Smith will meet them. Bristnall have asked if parents don’t come too early as parking outside the school is busy and will taken up by Bristnall parents. They will need to be collected at 2.55 from the same place each day. We have staggered start and end times so we avoid getting mixed up with the Bristnall pupils. If your child would normally have school meals, we have arranged for sandwiches to be delivered each day to Bristnall.

Year 4

Year 4 will be using a classroom at Moat Farm Juniors. We will be having staggered start and end times to avoid getting mixed up with Moat Farm pupils. Please take you child to Moat Farm Juniors at 9am (please don’t go too early as you will get caught up in traffic and I have been advised that there are lots of parking attendants in force). You will need to walk past the first playground, past the entrance to the school and into the other playground for the room we are using. There will be staff about pointing you in the right direction. Please collect your child from the same place at 2.45. When you collect at the end of the day you will need access the school through the pedestrian gate. If your child would normally have school meals, we have arranged for sandwiches to be delivered each day to Moat Farm.
