Dear Parents and Carers
Positive Covid-19 test within the Year 5/ Year 6 bubble
I have been notified that a child in the Year 5/Year 6 Bubblehas tested positive for Covid-19. I have spoken to a representative from Public Health England and I am so sorry to inform you that any child in Year 5 or Year 6, who was in school on Friday December 18th will need to start isolating with immediate effect.
This means that all staff and children in this bubble will have to self-isolate and remain at home until Monday 28thDecember 2020, if they were in school on the last day of term.
If your child develops Covid-19 symptoms then please arrange for them to get a test. Your whole household would need to isolate until you have a negative result. If they test positive then please inform school by texting me on 07483306844 and ensure your whole household isolates for 10 days.
I am so sorry for having to ask your child to self-isolate over Christmas. While I understand the impact and challenges of the self-isolation period, as this means that the children must not leave the house, I must stress that these measures have been advised by Public Health England to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone at Annie Lennard. We want to put everyone’s health first and keep you as safe as we can.
Kind regards
Mrs Jennifer Rogman
