Week Beginning 22nd June 2020

Hello Nursery,

This week for our home learning we will continue our work on Animals, particularly focussing on animals that live in the jungle.

Can you tell you mum or dad which animals live in the jungle? Maybe you could sing  our 'Down in the Jungle' song that we used to sing in Nursery.

Here are the lyrics if you want to join in:

Down in the jungle
Where nobody goes
There's a great big gorilla
Washing his clothes
With a rub-a-dub here
A rub-a-dub there
That's the way he washes his clothes
Diddle-I-Dee, a boogie boogie woogie
Diddle-I-Dee, a boogie boogie woogie
Diddle-I-Dee, a boogie boogie woogie
That's the way he washes his clothes

Down in the jungle
Where nobody goes
There's a slithery snake
Washing his clothes
With a rub-a-dub here
A rub-a-dub there
That's the way he washes his clothes
Diddle-I-Dee, a boogie boogie woogie
Diddle-I-Dee, a boogie boogie woogie
Diddle-I-Dee, a boogie boogie woogie

That's the way he washes his clothes

Can you think of words to describe each animal? In the song it says there is a Slithery Snake and a great big gorilla.  How would you describe the following animals:

  • Tiger
  • Parrot
  • Monkey
  • Elephant

I have attached some jungle animal activities for you to complete this week.  if you want to listen to a story about the jungle here is a link to 'Giraffes can't dance'

Have fun

Lots of Love
