30th December 2021 Newsletter

Good Morning All

I hope you have all had a good Christmas and hope not too many of you have been affected by the new covid-19 variant. Unfortunately, we have had some staff members test positive over the Christmas break. Can I take the opportunity to say a massive thank you for all the kind gifts that you gave staff as we broke up for Christmas.

Mrs Rogman

Back in November I wrote to you letting you know that Mrs Rogman was absent from school due to caring for her terminally ill husband Mr Rogman. It is with great sadness that I let you know that on the 21st December Mr Rogman sadly passed away. Many of you will know Mr Rogman as he worked with us for many years and was a firm favourite with our pupils. He was an amazing teacher; an excellent story teller and he was also our very own Father Christmas including last year when he visited virtually. Mr Rogman will be missed by all, he was a special man, a true gentleman and it was a privilege to work alongside him over the years. We send our deepest sympathies and condolences to Mrs Rogman our thoughts and prayers are with her at this time.

Training Day

On Monday 17th school will be closed to pupils.

Year 3 and 4 Trip to young voices – postponed

Please see below the email in which I have received form the organisers at young voices.

We understand that during the rising tension around the Omicron variant and the outlook for January that there are questions being raised regarding YV 2022.

As always, our priority here at Young Voices is the health, both physical and mental, of our children, teachers and the families who attend our concerts. It is therefore our decision to postpone all of our concerts to Spring/Summer 2022. We tried so hard to give this every opportunity to go ahead but we had to make this decision in the end and as a result we would also like to apologise for not being able to make the call any sooner.

We are currently working hard alongside our venues to make sure all of our original dates can be accommodated within this new timeframe and we will be in touch early next year with your new concert date. All ticket orders will be transferable and remain valid for these new dates.

Until then please enjoy your Christmas break and know that the Young Voices team will be doing everything behind the scenes to make sure your concert experience is worth all of the wait!

See you in 2022
Best wishes
The YV Team
